National Day of Listening

As you begin your Thanksgiving preparations, it’s a good time to remember that StoryCorps will be holding the fifth National Day of Listening on November 29. It’s “a new national holiday started by StoryCorps in 2008. On the day after Thanksgiving, StoryCorps asks everyone to take a few minutes to record an interview with a loved one.” It’s a good way to promote closeness and understanding, it’s  a great alternative to Black Friday madness, and it seems like a natural thing for Toastmasters to do. There are tips on how to conduct and record a conversation, sample questions, and even an opportunity to post your conversation publicly.
