This year’s District 29 Spring Conference is on May 16 and 17, 2014, at the Westfields Marriott Washington Dulles in Chantilly, Virginia.
Our keynote speaker is Accredited Speaker and Distinguished Toastmaster, Conor Cunneen. Conor is one of only 65 people in the history of Toastmasters to be awarded the Accredited Speaker designation. Among his accolades are representing Chicago in the International Speech Contest finals and receiving Chicago’s Humorous Speaker of the Year.
Our conference theme is Believe it and Achieve it. Educational sessions for the weekend include: Two leadership sessions with past International President Bennie Bough and past District 37 Governor Naomi Takeuchi, tips on creating a flawless speech with Anne Sobota, captivating your audience using hand gestures with table topics champion Carol Ann Stanger, and Sabine Kvenberg‘s session on discovering and achieving your goals and deepest desires. We’ll also have a session from Judy Pearson who presented at the Toastmasters International convention. She’s going to help us STOP SELF-SABOTAGE AND GET THE RESULTS WE WANT.
Of course, let’s not forget that we’ll get the treat of listening to the best evaluations and International speeches in our district!
The Early Bird registration is only $99, but it ends on April 4– so sign up early! Both checks and credit cards are accepted. Visit the District conference page for more information.
