National Day of Listening

“Listening is one of the most valuable gifts we can give to another human being.”

With this lovely quote, TED introduces its announcement of the million dollar TED Award for 2015. It’s a good time to remind you that The National Day of Listening is fast approaching—

The National Day of Listening is a new national holiday started by StoryCorps in 2008. On the day after Thanksgiving, StoryCorps asks all Americans to take an hour to record an interview with a loved one, using recording equipment that is readily available in most homes, such as computers, iPhones, and tape recorders, along with StoryCorps’ free Do-It-Yourself Instruction Guide. The 2010 National Day of Listening was sponsored by the Fetzer Institute.
