Five Realities for the New Year

Point 4 in this post by Dave Pell

The communication tools that you hoped would further democratize society and create common bonds actually segregated us like never before, broke the bonds that we had, and led to an autocrat taking power. (Related: That personal brand you’ve dedicated years to developing basically went up in smoke.)

seems to pose a challenge Toastmasters need to address. We’ve still got a while before the Pathways program is available to us, but I’m especially anxious to see how the new program addresses the new communications tools available now. Meantime, how are you preparing for the challenges of communicating today?

p.s., Pell’s weekday report, Next Draft,  is a well-written, often cheeky,  and thorough overview of the news.
